Overview
The Doghouse Gym ("we", "us", "our") operates the Doghouse Gym HR mobile application and the website at www.thedoghousegy.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
Doghouse Gym HR App
- Heart rate data — collected in real-time from your Bluetooth heart rate monitor during workouts. This data is processed on your device and stored locally.
- Profile information — age, weight, and gender, entered by you to calculate max heart rate and calories. Stored locally on your device.
- Workout history — duration, calories, heart rate stats, and zone breakdowns. Stored locally on your device.
- Class/Battle mode data — when you join a coach's class or a battle session, your name, heart rate, and workout stats are shared in real-time via Firebase with the other participants in that session. This data is automatically deleted when the session ends.
Doghouse Booking Website
- Account information — name, email, and phone number when you register.
- Booking data — class bookings, payment records, and waitlist entries.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide heart rate monitoring, workout tracking, and fitness analytics
- To enable real-time class and battle features between participants
- To process class bookings and payments
- To send booking confirmations and waitlist notifications via email
Data Storage
- HR App — workout data, profile, and preferences are stored locally on your device using browser/app storage. We do not upload or store your personal workout data on our servers.
- Class/Battle sessions — real-time data is temporarily stored on Firebase (Google Cloud, EU region) during active sessions and automatically deleted when the session ends.
- Booking website — account and booking data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Turso, EU region).
Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) — real-time data sync for class and battle modes
- Stripe — payment processing for class bookings
- Resend — email delivery for booking confirmations
- Vercel — website and app hosting
Bluetooth & Health Data
The HR app uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to connect to your heart rate monitor. Heart rate data is processed entirely on your device. We do not transmit your health data to any server except during active class/battle sessions where it is shared with other participants you have chosen to connect with.
Your Rights
- You can delete your workout history at any time within the app
- You can delete your profile data by clearing the app's storage
- You can request deletion of your booking account by contacting us
- Class and battle session data is automatically deleted
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
